Audio Restoration
Thousands of tapes of immense value lie deteriorating in audio-archives around the world. It is imperative that such "treasures" are preserved for the enjoyment of future generations. Great creativity, high levels of expertise and music appreciation are necessary for the successful completion of this task, which presents a great challenge to our restoration team of expert audio masters - a challenge which they relish.
They have been extraordinarily successful in saving numerous original tapes, which otherwise would have been irreparably ravaged by time. After the restoration process and digitization, many of the works can be reintroduced as new products (in CD, SACD or DVD-Audio formats).
Our restoration and digitalisation service encompasses:
- Restoration of up to 24-track analogue tape recordings
- Re-taping of critical recordings and repairs to splices
- Dehumidification of critical tape recordings
- Adjustment and alignment of tape machines to the individual type of recording tape
- Digitization in WAV or SD II format up to 96kHz/24 bit
- Optimisation of sound, including removal of hums and clicks
- Storage of audio files on CD-R or DVD-R
