Media service provider arvato digital services to present POS tools for retail
media browser and media unic present a new face at the Games Convention
Gütersloh - Germany, August 19, 2008 -- At the Games Convention 2008 in Leipzig, arvato digital services will present the POS tools media browser and media unic, which were developed for retail. Unlike previous years, in which these services were still presented via a sales partner, the international media service provider is handling the presentation itself. Consequently, the services media browser and media unic are being shown together with the solutions of the “arvato games task force” initiative, a games-oriented network of various divisions of arvato AG (Business Center, Hall 1, Stand H 01, August 20-22, 2008).
“With the strategic realignment and the name change from sonopress to arvato digital services, this is a logical step,” says Andreas Müller, Director Sales & Marketing media network for the media service provider in Gütersloh. “As part of this realignment, we have brought the media browser and media unic services completely back to us”, explains Müller. Starting with the changeover on the 50th anniversary of the company, Sonopress GmbH will not only appear in the market under the new name arvato digital services; it has also undergone substantive changes. “We are adapting ourselves even more strongly to our customer’s requirements and are offering one-stop-shopping solutions. Now we want to present this approach externally as well and to re-establish the brand ‘media network’ in the market,” adds Müller.
In addition to the interactive pre-listening and catalog system media browser, the brand expansion is devoted above all to the latest online services solution at arvato digital services: media unic is a full-range content management system to support in-store TV and digital signage. It enables retailers and publishers to play content on screens in retail stores uniformly and in a wide area, but also on multiple channels, in order to present product information, such as new releases or special offers. The key to success is the combination of convincing content, flexible online handling, and high-availability technology.
