
Meet Cedric in CD replication
Describe your educational background. Where did you study, what degrees did you receive?
I received my “Diplôme d’Ingénieur ENIM” in Metz (France), specialized in Mechanical Engineering & Production processes.
Describe your career history. What have been your professional experiences prior to your current position?
I started my career in the Automotive Industry. First as a Team Leader by “Delphi Automotive Systems” in Strasbourg (France). Then, I joined “Dynamit Nobel” in Hambach (France), as Planning Manager in the plant that produce the bodypanels of the Micro Car SMART fortwo.
What are your current roles and responsibilities?
I joined Arvato digital services in 2002 as Production Manager for CD replication and packaging. The real challenge was to assume the fast growth of the factory, by doubling the production each year for 3 years. Since 2007, I’m Industrial Manager. My role is, by coordinating the activity between all departments, to keep and progress in our performance despite a mature market of CD production that has started to reduce itself.
What attracted you to your company and position? What is your favorite thing about your job?
The wide range of responsibility in diverse domains and the autonomy are, from far, the most attractive things in my job.
What has been your most memorable moment (so far) in your job?
These are many! If I would have to choose one, I would say the 5th anniversary of our factory. We had a party with all employees and had, all in common, a big emotion by looking the retrospective of the past 5 years, made of hard work, efforts and the real will to success in our activity.
My favorite spot in the world:
The Atlantic coast in France.
What qualities do you feel are necessary to be a successful employee at your company?
I would recommend being innovative and dynamic. The reactivity in our job must be extremely high. Therefore, you’ll also have a good resistance to the stressing situation.

Book: Lord of the rings
Movie: “L’auberge Espagnole” from Cedric Klappisch that has revealed a lot of actors that represents the new generation.

My life in a nutshell:
I was born and raised in Sarreguemines, a small and nice city on the German border.
I did a University Technological Diploma in Mechanic in Metz before to join the Engineering school. I finished my education by a training course in Southampton (UK) for 6 months. This was a great international experience I’ll advise to anyone.
After my first job in Strasbourg, I came back in my native area where I’ll soon build a house for my family.
